Kraft Heinz launches its first global capacity centre in Gujarat

Kraft Heinz has inaugurated its First Global Capacity Centre (GCC) in Gujarat
The US-based Kraft Heinz, ranked as the fifth-largest food and beverage company globally, announced the establishment of its first-ever Global Capacity Centre (GCC) in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Over the next three years, the state is set to hire more than 1,800 professionals, thereby expanding employment opportunities throughout Gujarat. This marks Heinz's pioneering endeavor as the first global capability centre to commence operations in India.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was formally inked during a signing ceremony attended by Vijay Nehra, Secretary of the Department of Science and Technology, and Serge De Vos, Head of Global Business Services at Kraft Heinz Company. Gujarat's Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and other ministers were present as witnesses to the signing. The MoU was executed in accordance with Gujarat's IT/ITes policy.
Gujarat's Chief Minister, Patel, remarked, "The establishment of the GCC by Kraft Heinz showcases an environment conducive to Ease of Doing Business in Gujarat." The GCC represents a new strategic direction in Kraft Heinz's significant transformation. The company is harnessing its technological capabilities through partnerships and collaborations with innovators. These capabilities will be further extended to improve operational efficiency, foster innovation, and enhance service delivery across Kraft Heinz's global operations, leveraging advanced technologies, data analytics, and agile methodologies, according to Serge De Vos.
He further added, "The city's strategic location, robust infrastructure, and pool of skilled talent make it an ideal choice for the company's IT, analytics, global business services, finance, and supply chain operations."
